Innovation secures double shortlisting for Electrical Review Excellence Awards

DigiPlex has been shortlisted by Electrical Review magazine in two categories at its annual excellence awards: Innovative Project of the Year and Sustainable Project of the year.

The Electrical Review Excellence Awards recognise projects showcasing the latest in electrical engineering and cutting-edge design while championing the highest environmental, safety and energy efficiency standards. DigiPlex established its place as the best recognised Nordic data centre brand by consistently bringing out progressive long-term solutions guided by a long-held dedication to sustainability and long-term planning.

“2019 brings us the second year of Excellence Awards from the UK’s longest established electrical journal, Electrical Review” says Gisle M. Eckhoff, CEO of DigiPlex. “As with that publication, we have a long history of advancing the best technology and solutions for our industry. We are delighted to be shortlisted for our work to deliver creative, high-performance solutions in Stockholm that benefit our communities and reduce energy demand.”

The advanced heat recapture and efficiency techniques employed at DigiPlex’s Stockholm centre have been cited for both awards. The Stockholm site is being engineered to return power to the local heating system, using advanced cooling techniques to capture waste head and recirculate it to warm local homes.

The Electrical Review Excellence Awards 2019 will be held on 30 May at The Four Seasons Hotel on London’s Park Lane.
