CEO Gisle M. Eckhoff participates in debate entitled “Dead or Digital Districts” alongside industry experts.
DigiPlex took an active part at Arendalsuka, Norway’s largest annual political gathering. This year the event spanned from 12-17 August and boasted 1,200 events and 70,000 visitors.
On Tuesday, DigiPlex CEO Gisle M. Eckhoff participated in the panel debate Dead or Digital Districts organised by trade and employers association Abelia, an association of Norwegian knowledge and technology based enterprises. “Norway has plenty of fantastic engineering competence in traditional industries across the country that may be utilised in the digital sector”, said Eckhoff. He believes that digitilisation has the potential to generate a large number of jobs in regional Norway.

More than 70 people found their way to the event, including the CEOs of Evry and Telia Norway, as well as Siemens’ Managing Director for Smart Infrastructure. The DigiPlex team at Arendalsuka also had several formal and informal meetings with politicians, customers and industry organisations during the week.
